A Renaissance Musicale

  • 480 Arts 480 Prior Avenue North Saint Paul, MN, 55104 United States (map)

Since the invention of fire, humans have gathered to share food, drink, and music. This is how memories are made, stories are told, and communities are built. Art and humanity are inextricably combined. In the Middle Ages Western music notation developed to the point where the same sounds can be reproduced centuries later.

Tonight we celebrate that musical and cultural ancestry. Food, drink, music, and art again are shared not in a concert hall, but in a facility dedicated to art and togetherness—to what makes us human. Art and music are not frivolous, they are essential.

So raise a glass, feast, and savor the musical offerings we share: Music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras of Western choral music.

A partnership between Sospiri, the Minnesota Renaissance Choir, and 480 Arts.
